Ingredients for Kala Jamun Recipe
- Hariyali Khoya 1/4 cup
- Cottage Cheese 1/2 cup
- Readymade flour (gulab jamun) 200gm
- Sugar 2 cups
- Milk 1 cup
- Green cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon
- Ghee/oil to deep fry
- Silver warq as required
Grate cheese separately and mix with khoya, flour. and milk, knead well till smooth. Then divide into equal portions as required. Press and roll each portion in your palm into a smooth ball. Make sure there are no cracks.
Take a nonstick pan and add ghee or oil and deep fry.
Boil 2 cup sugar in 5 cup water, satire till the sugar get dissolved. Add the cardamom powder and simmer till the syrup turns a light golden. Keep the syrup warm. Drain and dip jamun in the syrup and let them soak for at least fifteen minutes.
Decorate with silver foil, if silver foil not available decorate with grated almond & kaju. Serve hot or cold, the taste will be delicious.
