Rava dosa is famous south Indian dosa variation. It is one of the easy breakfast recipes. There will be no grinding and fermentation in this recipe. The result of spicy batter will give you a crispy tasty Rava Dosa.
Rava dosa stands for sooji or semolina mix dosa. Semolina is the main ingredient of this dosa that's why names as Rava Dosa. This is the fine variety of Rava which is also known as Bombay Rava. Along with Bombay Rava, you need to add rice flour and maida in the batter. You can make just plain Rava dosa or spicy dosa by adding spices and onion. Rava dosa is also called as sooji dosa.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Rava
- 1 cup of rice flour
- 1 tbsp maida
- 1 tbsp Curd
- Salt
- 1 onion
- 4 green chilies
- 1/2 tsp jeera
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp ginger powder/paste
- 1/2 Methi powder
- 5-6 curry leaves (chopped)
- Coriander
Eat hot with sauce or green chutney because as dosa cool down it will lose crispiness.
Rava dosa sticks on the pan?
Yes, do not use normal roti or chapati tawa for making Rava Dosa. The Rava dosa has thin consistency like water so it needs a good nonstick pan which is only used for making dosa.
